HOW WE HANDLE THIS

Data, Security and Account Transparency

We handle your personal and financial data according to defined retention schedules and security practices.

Data Collection Scope

We collect only what is necessary to operate your account — name, contact details, payment method identifiers for UPI, Paytm or PhonePe, and activity logs. No additional profiling data is gathered without your explicit consent.

Cookie Handling

Cookies on daffawin are used for session management, fraud prevention and performance measurement. You can adjust non-essential cookie preferences through the settings panel without affecting your ability to access your account.

Account Security Practices

Account access is protected by encrypted login sessions and two-step verification. Any change to your registered payment method — including linked UPI or PhonePe handles — requires identity confirmation before taking effect.

Retention Schedule

Transaction records are retained for the period required by applicable law in your jurisdiction. After account closure, personal data is held for a defined retention window and then deleted unless a legal hold applies.

Your Rights and Requests

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Submit requests via the policy email address; we will confirm receipt and complete the request within the statutory timeframe.

Dispute Resolution

Legal disputes about account decisions or data handling are addressed first through our internal escalation process. If a resolution is not reached internally, the matter is referred to the competent authority in the applicable jurisdiction.

What You Commonly Ask About Our Legal Terms

These are the questions we receive most often about how our terms and data practices work. Each answer reflects the actual policy applied to your account.

Yes. Submit a data access request through the policy email channel with your registered account email. We will compile your data record and deliver it to you within the timeframe required by applicable law in your jurisdiction.

Transaction records are kept for the statutory retention period set by law in the jurisdiction where your account was active. Once that period ends and no legal hold applies, the records are permanently deleted from our systems.

You can submit a deletion request at any time via our policy email address. We will action it unless we are legally required to retain certain records, in which case we will explain exactly which data must be kept and why.

When you remove a linked payment method such as a UPI handle or PhonePe number, the identifier is unlinked from your account immediately. Tokenised transaction references may remain in logs for the statutory audit period.

We send a notification to your registered contact — email or in-account message — before any material change takes effect. The notification states what changed and when the new version applies. Continuing to use your account after that date means you accept the updated terms.

The governing jurisdiction depends on local law applicable to you. Access to daffawin is available only where local law permits it, and any dispute is subject to the legal framework of the jurisdiction that governs your account.

Session and security cookies are required for your account to function. Non-essential cookies — used for performance measurement — can be turned off in the settings panel. We do not sell cookie-derived data to third parties.
